Rob Roy Cocktail Recipe
The Scottish brother of the well-known manhatten is surely the Rob Roy. Some seem to call it a Scotch Manhattan but is more commonly referred to as the same name as the Scottish folk hero and outlaw.
He was a similar figure to Robin Hood and is forever memorialized by this cocktail. It was invented in New York at the Waldorf Hotel to coincide with a play that held the same name. Although this drink certainly looks and feels like a Manhattan, once you try it you’ll soon realize they’re of different worlds.
